Xperia X1’s notorious keyboard broke down again with repeated key inputs. Warranty seems over and don’t want to bother to take this to pieces by myself, so tried to get away with some software tweaks:

 

HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\InitialDelay was 750
HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\RepeatRate was 30
HCLM\services\keypad\ActionDebounceTimeout was 90

HP 노트북은 왜 이렇게 어댑터가 다양할까… 심지어 같은 노트북에서도 Volt가 다르다.

Long story short: 첨부물을 \windows에 엎어 쓰자.

Xperia의 BS키를 1초 이상 누르고 있으면 그동안 작성했던 모든 문서가 다 지워지는 기능(!)은 많은 이들이 윈도모바일의 원래 기능이라 여겨져 왔지만 이는 사실이 아니고 다만 번들된 디오펜의 DIME.DLL의 사양이었을 뿐이다.

무엇을 위한 기능인지 요구정의가 애매하지만, 적어도 거리를 달리는 비즈니스맨에게는 그다지 유용하지 않다.

이를 회피하는 법은 keyboard hooking하는 app을 써서 BS키를 달리 할당하는 법과,

아예 DIME.DLL 대신 순정 IME, mshime97.dll을 쓰는 법이 있다.

I’ve been trying out lots of Windows Mobile twitter client these days. Now, I’m thinking about settling on Twikini. TwitPic, GPS, even SMS/email are integrated into this small app, and it bragged that it’s made of C++. Not sure how much faster this native code can be, considering other .NET CF-based twitter apps are already fast enough.
